“A Client Who Won't Pay a Deposit is Telling You Something.”

Not always bad news. Sometimes they're just not used to being asked.

But often it's a signal. Not committed yet. Tight on cash. Shopping around with your quote in hand.

A deposit does two things. It protects your cashflow by stopping you from funding jobs out of your own pocket. And it qualifies the client. Commitment follows money.

The owners who introduce deposits always tell me the same thing: most clients didn't blink. A few asked a question. One or two walked away.

The ones who walked were usually the ones who would have been difficult anyway.

30 - 50% upfront on any job over $2k. Standard process. Not negotiable.

What's stopping you from implementing deposits if you haven't already?
