"The Question That Changes The Conversation."
The question I ask at the start of every engagement isn't about revenue or margin.
It's this: what does success actually look like in three years?
Not what the business looks like. What does your life look like?
Most owners haven't been asked this by an advisor. They get asked about revenue targets and growth plans. The personal outcome gets assumed.
But the answer shapes everything.
An owner who wants to sell in three years needs to be working on valuation multiple and owner independence right now. Completely different priorities to someone who wants to scale and hold.
An owner who wants to work 30 hours a week instead of 55 needs different structural work than one who wants to double revenue.
The commercial strategy should serve the personal goal. Not the other way around.
